No meal planning required

If you cook at home, you know the drill. You decide what you'll be eating, maybe find a recipe, you make a shopping list, you go to the store, you buy the ingredients, you come home, you cook, you eat.

That confounding first step - deciding what to eat - was my motivation for creating software that would take that kink out of the process. So I'd like to introduce you to Medal Menu, which offers curated, themed, starter menus for people who want to take the guesswork out of meal decision and planning. Menus in the system are not read-only; you can clone them, edit them, create your own, share with your inner circles.

Why the focus on menus? Partly because menus are fun. They are full of possibilities. We like choices, right? Sitting down at a restaurant and opening the menu - there's something very exciting about it. You'll see familiar dishes - like old friends - and new ones that pique your interest. Drinks, appetizers, main courses, desserts, all laid out for you. It's a feast for the eyes and the imagination.

In Medal Menu, many menu items are backed by recipes so not only do you quickly see your choices, but you will have the instructions to prepare it. And since we don't always cook for ourselves, you can make the menu visible to your significant other, your family, or any other circle. Then they can participate in the process.

Here's the first starter menu: United States 1. It features some dishes that an American cook might prepare, whether from classic American cuisine or others. Hopefully you find a few pleasing to your tastes. Find the menu below or within the app when you hit the Create Menu button.

Enjoy!
